Saúde Atlântica - Gestão Hospitalar, S.A. (SAGH)

The clinic SAGH has more than 40 medical specialties, including sports medicine, orthopaedics, cardiology, exercise physiology, internal medicine, exercise prescription, sports psychology, rehabilitation and rheumatology. SAGH is in FC Porto’s stadium (Portugal), covering 2,000 m2 of space. Its activities include injury prevention and rehabilitation, and the adjoining health and fitness club. It was stablished in 1986 and accredited as FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence (FMCE) since February 2013. It covers all aspects of sports medicine and musculoskeletal disorders. The staff if formed by 200 people: 118 doctors, 14 physiotherapists, 15 researchers and others. More than one million medical interventions. It’s the FC Porto’s clinic of reference, certificated by the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and by the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) and it’s the first FMCE on the Iberian Peninsula.
